HELPING HANDS
The Helping Hands Project Series is inspired by our desire to help folks in our community by doing what we do best - brewing beer - and donating the profits to a local organization that helps those in need.

HELPING HANDS PROJECT SERIES NO.5 - September 2022
The hard truth is that - in seizing their land, banning languages, forbidding spiritual practices, destroying political & social institutions, & by stealing their children with the intent to break the link to their culture & identity - Canada committed cultural genocide against Indigenous Peoples*. Acknowledging this shameful history & its legacy of harm is the first step towards reconciliation & a mutually respectful relationship between Indigenous Peoples & settlers in this country. Proceeds from HARD TRUTH, this tart and fruity dry-hopped sour - the 5th beer in our Helping Hands Series - aim to help Urban Native Youth Association - UNYA provide meaningful opportunities for Indigenous youth in the urban setting.
Donations to date: $2,352.50 to UNYA

“Always look your fellows in the eye when toasting their good health” - At the heart of what we do, this mantra means we accept each other no matter our diversity. We like to think of each beer as an opportunity to have a conversation with someone to better understand them & their perspective. The ALL & SUNDRY, an unconventional lager – with its slightly salty character & lime aroma - is the 4th beer in our Helping Hands project series & aims to help QMUNITY improve queer, trans & two-spirit lives.
Donations to date: $2,446 to Qmunity

BACKYARD - was so named for the homeless crisis that is happening literally in our backyard. At this time, we watched the Strathcona Park homeless encampment getting bigger by the day and knew that we needed to do something to help. Proceeds from BACKYARD were donated to the Covenant House Vancouver who provide support, love and hope for Vancouver’s homeless and at-risk street youth.
Donations to date: $2,148 to the BC Covenant House
