PRIDE & JOY
GRAF COLLABORATION WITH DOMINION CIDER
Light / Dry / Slightly funky-fruity
If beer and cider had a baby it would be a GRAF – Both distinctly different from and greater than the sum of its parents. Like all good love stories this one began with apples – in this case from Dominion Cider’s orchard in Summerland – which mingled with a Saison wort, some Loral hops and wild yeast. After a 6-month honeymoon in French oak, the result is a hybrid of characteristics – his funk, her fruit – the pride and joy of mum and dad.

BREWER’S NOTES
Brewed as a hybrid between Cider and Beer, Graf is made by fermenting together a typical barley wort with cider-apple juice. We made Pride+Joy with apple juice from our good friends at Dominon Cider. It was further barrel aged with a multiculture obtained from a small Lambic producer in Belgium and the result is a bright, light, and slightly funky beer with characteristics of cider-apple, and barrel aged saison. The use of Loral hops brings a herbal note to this refreshing but complex and highly unique brew.
Made with 50% apple must (juice) and 50% Saison wort.
