PSYCHOPOMP
Black Lager
Crisp / Reviving / Malt
Death be thirsty work - especially for the psychopomp who's tasked with guiding souls to the afterlife & usually paid via votive offerings or sacrifice... this one has a taste for beer with lots of "body", so a party of brewers returned from the dead has hijacked our brewery to make beer for him & their friends from the other side. We dare you & yours to experience Strange Dead Fellows Haunted Brewhouse in October. Oh, & if you bump into an undead be sure to offer them a glass of this crisp lager whose malty aroma will distract them from you.

BREWER’S NOTES
This black lager (or schwarzbier) balances the use of roasted malts while delivering the clean character of a lager. Psychopomp pour black in colour and offers a complex grain bill that blends aromas of dark chocolate, toast and molasses. Notes of roasted malt, espresso and cocoa flavours balance a medium body and a crisp, clean lager finish.

On the day the birds were created, the Peacock was bestowed with splendid plumage. Dissatisfied, he begged for the Nightingale’s sweet song, believing that beauty such as his deserved a voice to match. As penance for his vanity however, the Peacock was given a voice that would forever lament his lack of perfection. Sip of this juicy and hoppy sour ale, reflect upon your gifts and be happy.
