As expectant parents often struggle to find the perfect name for their unborn child, Aaron and Iain laboured to come up with a suitable name for their fledgling brewery. Finally, after months of hashing over lists of names, unable to agree upon a single one, someone declared that they were "just like the odd couple". The rest, as they say, is history.

From its inception, Strange Fellows has been about a blending of ideas and histories with a common vision: that two strangers can have a beer together, look each other in the eye and toast each other's good health.

Our brewers’ fondness for experimentation and diverse techniques has encouraged us to craft a broad range of styles, from hoppy and sessionable ales and stouts of all strengths, to traditional Belgians, crisp and classic pilsners, seasonal fruit beers, cider, wine, and our NEVERTHELESS non-alcoholic beers.

We invite all our Fellows to gather with us in our room (or on our pup-friendly patio), enjoy a slice of rustic Roman-style pizza, attend a weekly happening, celebrate a special occasion, or even join us in the early hours of the morn’ for a specialty cup of Creatures Coffee.
